Workin' Woman
Why didn't my mom warn me how hard it would be to work from home AND be a wife and mom? Oh wait... SHE DID! Wish I would have planned better for this. I was offered 2 different promotions when I frst found out I was pregnant. And what did I do, I took the one that requires travel. Luckily though, I got out of going to Wisconsin and Jamaica for a week because I'm breastfeeding.
I guess I'll just keep on keepin' on until Jeremy makes enoughmoney for me to work from home. Hopefully that will happen before I turn 65...

A happy wife is a happy life
If you have seen the movie The Breakup, this is my life - except we aren't breaking up. In the movie Jennifer Aniston's character says "I want you to want to do the dishes!", and Vince replies "Who wants to do the dishes?". This dialogue happens daily in my house. The point is, that no one really wants to do housework. You want to have a clean house, and to get there you have to do housework.
I have tried to just let the housework go and only do my part, in hopes that he will realize I wont do it for him. However, this never seems to work. I usually give in and do it myslf after a few days. And if he does beat me to it, he takes everything from one room and puts it into another.. nothing in it's place. Then to top it all off he asks ME where things are.
My boss gave Jeremy some advice on our wedding day. He said "A happy wife is a happy life". I laughed it off then, but now, I realize that's some damn good advice. If only Jeremy would realize ho happy it woud make me if he helped around the house; it would make his life happier because I would quit nagging.
NOMROM MOM
More and more, I realize I am molding into the typical Utah mom. First I realized I didn't enjoy drinking every weekend, or at all as a matter of fact; not a bad thing, but definitely a sign I'm 'growing up'. Then I noticed I don't enjoy staying out late anymore. Part of this could be that I feel forced to go out with Jeremy every Friday...at the same place.. the same time.. every Friday until 2am. Next, I got my haircut. You know.. that A-line cut with the side swoop bangs. Then I joined Scrappp..bookk...clubbbb. When Jeremy found out that I had joined this paper pasting organization he said "Now what, are you going to start going to church?". Now, not that being mormon is bad, by any means. It's just not me... at least not the church part. So what do you call a mormon mom who isn't mormon? A NOMROM MOM. Say that 5 times fast!
Kitchen Transformation
Jeremy and I moved into our house 4 months ago. It really is a cute place. However, our kitchen was not so cute. The previous owner had really bad taste and decide to "upgrade" the kitchen and paint the cabinets orange and yellow with yellow, green, blue and orange tile border along the wall with matching knobs. Words can't descride the ugliness. Ugghh... So I have spent the past week un-doing what he did. All the cabinets are now white and the tiles are black. I just have to show off my hard work now. See the before and after pics :)
